Firefighters put out a blaze in a downstairs kitchen in Ilkeston.A woman managed to escape before firefighter turned up at the incident in Peveril Drive on Thursday at about 4.50pm.Crews from Ilkeston and Long Eaton fire stations used four breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire, before ventilating the property and investigating the cause.They left the scene at 6.20pm.
