A woman was rescued from a crashed car before it caught alight this morning in an incident which shut the A52 for six hours.
A single car, a Peugeot 206, is believed to have overturned after colliding with the central reservation of the A52 westbound near Borrowash just before 6am.
Emergency services closed both lanes of the Brian Clough Way westbound from the M1 Junction 25 while they dealt with the incident.
