Vandals have torn up young trees in a park just a few months after saplings and shrubs were trashed, costing the council £1,000.
The incident happened last Saturday at the West Park in Long Eaton, sometime between 6pm and 8am the following morning.
Erewash Borough Council began clearing the debris on Monday morning and tried to replace the 15 trees that were uprooted. But nine tress were damaged beyond repair.
